Theological Dictionary

Over the next couple of months I will be writing a series of posts that discuss and attempt to define some of the concepts at the core of LIBERATE’s message. Terms and phrases like “law and gospel,” “justification,” “the theology of the cross,” “grace,” “two kinds of righteousness,” and more will be presented and explained. The purpose of this “theological dictionary” is not to offer the last word on the terms and phrases; rather the hope is to identify and introduce some of the ideas that inform LIBERATE’s basic refrain: God, through his law, accuses and kills sinners so that, through his gospel, he can justify the ungodly and raise the dead.
